In Three Volumes.   Publisher: Edinburgh: Sterling and Slade. 1819. Number of Volumes: 3 volumes complete. Binding: Attractive and sound Original bindings of full leather! Smooth and supple! All contrasting red leather spine labels are present and bright~ also original! Elaborate and bright gilt designs on spines, as well as decorative gilt borders on all boards! Leather retains a rich patina and shine, and is not dried out! Some wear to extremities. Some light cracking to some hinges~ mostly surface. All boards are well-attached, and in no danger of coming loose! Some nibbling to the tops/bottoms of spines. Attractive and sound set! Please refer to photos provided! Volume Size: Volume measures 8 1/2 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide! TEG (top edges of pages gilded): All exterior edges are speckled.  Foxing~ Is Text Clean?:Text is generally very clean. Extremely minimal foxing only~ nearly completely without. Endpapers: Non-decorative. Ex Libris plate on front pastedowns: Private Library of Francis J.
