1st UK Chronicles of Narnia C.S.Lewis HBDJ The Chronicles of Narnia C. S. Lewis Illustrated by Pauline Baynes Geoffrey Bles, London, Early reprints A very scarce set with first/first when available selling for $30,000.00 plus, this is a wonderful opportunity to acquire early reprints in lovely condition. This beautiful set of the Chronicles of Narnia with the original illustrations by Pauline Baynes throughout books is most difficult to find. The books are in very good condition with no names, stickers or markings. Please see descriptions below for each volume. They are now in new protective sleeves and will be enjoyed for generations. The books are in the order that C.S. Lewis intended them to be read in and as the movie sequence will be. Title are: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, First published in 1950, this is Second Impression, 1954. Book has slight lean, the gilt is bright on spine. The jacket is from an unclipped Fifth Impression or I can acquire a professional First Edition facsimile jacket. This jacket is very nice and free of tears or chips. Prince Caspian, First published in 1951, this is the Third Impression. Book is in very good condition with no markings to book and just very light soiling on the out edges of pages. Blue boards are unfaded and spine gilt is bright. The unclipped jacket is very good, unfaded and only light edge wear with no chips or tears. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, First published in 1952, this is the Third Impression. Book in very good condition with unfaded boards and map endpapers. Unclipped jacket that is unfaded and free of tears. The Silver Chair, First published in 1953, this is the Third Impression, 1959. Book is clean and boards unfaded. Map endpapers with no markings or inscriptions. The unclipped jacket has minor edge wear including small chips to the head and heel of the spine and rubbing along folds. The color is unfaded and titles present. The Horse and His Boy, First published in 1954, this is the Third Impression, 1959. Book is very clean with no markings and light foxing on upper edge. Map endpapers. The unclipped jacket is unfaded and has several repaired closed tears (repaired on the inside) it is clean and bright. The Magician's Nephew, first published in 1955, this is the Third Impression 1960. Book is very clean and free of inscriptions. The jacket is unclipped and lightly soiled on the rear panel. The Last Battle, First published 1956, Second Impression 1958. Book in very good condition free of inscriptions with light dust. The unclipped Jacket is also very nice with light foxing.
